" 46th Annual 4-H Awards and Recognition"

The Rotary Club of Paducah sponsored the 46th Annual 4-H Awards and Recognition Luncheon. Over ninety area students were honored for their accomplishments in a variety of categories such as horse club, variety show, state fair photography, leadership, and public speaking. Clayton Jerrell, Purchase Area Teen Council Vice president served as Master of Ceremonies. Rotarians Hutch Smith & Gayle Kaler, co-chair of Rural-Urban Relations Committee, distributed the awards. Rotarians Kelly Nuckols, Dick Veazey, Lewis Carr and Wayne Sterling assisted. The move to the Carson Center this year was enjoyed by all, especially the students.

Thank you to the 4-H Rotary Luncheon Committee members for the time and effort put forth to make this banquet special for these students. The Luncheon was provided by McCracken County Homemakers, St Mary Elementary Cafeteria, Backwoods BBQ, SuperValu, McCartney Produce, Frito-Lay. The homemakers were especially thankful for the help of the Carson Center staff.

The Rotary Club of Paducah would like to thank the County Extension Agents, 4- H Youth Development team of Robert Tashjian, Bernita Cheirs, David Littlejohn and Sue Latino for the great work they do with our area youth.
