44th Annual 4-H Awards and Luncheon

Today the Rotary Club of Paducah Sponsored the 44th Annual 4-H Awards and Recognition Luncheon at the Robert Cherry Civic Center.

Sixty area students were honored for their accomplishments in a variety of categories such as horse club, variety show, state fair photography, leadership, and public speaking. Special recognition was given to 4H Participants Clayton Jerrell and Seth Cunningham for event participation at the national level.

Thank you to the 4-H Rotary Luncheon Committee members for the time and effort that you put forth to make this banquet special for these students.

The Rotary's annual dictionary delivery to area 3rd graders is scheduled to start on October 15, 2007. Volunteers are needed. Please contact Phyllis if you would like to volunteer.

IN MEMORIAM

The club wishes to express their condolences to the family of George Spencer. He served as president of the Rotary Club of Pine Bluff and was a Paul Harris Fellow. George joined the Paducah Rotary Club in April of 2001. He was an important part of every Rotary meeting becuase he faithfully came early each Wednesday to help set up for the meeting.
